Basic Form #1
|
White belts must learn this form in order to advance to a Yellow belt. The Basic forms are executed in an I pattern, to give the student practice in performing the fundamental techniques of footwork, turning, blocking and punching, in continuous sequence in all four directions.
Ready Position
- Turn left 90° into front stance, left foot forward, left hand down block.
- Step through into front stance, right foot forward, right hand middle punch.
- Turning to the right 180° into front stance, right foot forward, right hand down block.
- Step through into front stance, left foot forward, left hand middle punch.
- Turn left 90° into front stance, left foot forward, left hand down block
- Step through into front stance, right foot forward, right hand middle punch.
- Step through into front stance, left foot forward, left hand middle punch.
- Step through into front stance, right foot forward, right hand middle punch, KIHAP!.
- Turn left 270° into a front stance, left foot forward, left hand down block.
- Step through into front stance, right foot forward, right hand middle punch.
- Turning to the right 180° into front stance, right foot forward, right hand down block.
